Boucherouite rugs or ‘rag rugs’ as they’re affectionately called, originate in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. Handwoven by the Berber tribe women following age-old traditions but instead of using traditional wool to weave the rugs, they weave together these yarn rugs from recycled scraps of fabric essentially. The finished product are these incredibly striking, textured, fun pieces!
