100% Hand-knotted by Berber weavers living in the steep Azilal region in the remote & hard to reach High Atlas Mountains. 
Azilal rugs are made from virgin raw wool using techniques that mothers are passing down to daughters for generations.  These works of art give the women of this region a creative outlet to tell their own stories often weaving their wishes into the rug.  The designs feature great creativity with a combination of irregular & abstract patterns with numerous Berber symbols & diamond based graphics.
